National Accounts Manager The primary responsibility of the National Accounts Manager will be selling into the “senior level suite” of F500 companies. The position will require working your way through the corporate hierarchy to reach the senior suite, then to be able to make a compelling case using your intelligence and relying heavily on your ability to articulate a complicated concept. This will require developed skills in both phone and in-person selling.
We anticipate travel to be at least 50% of the time to meet with clients. You will be working in a variety of industries so you must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable. Being able to quickly grasp and then communicate concepts is also a vital skill.
As part of the job interview you will be asked to provide demonstrable success with senior level executives within F500 firms. Minimum Requirements: - College graduate

| | Event Director Position | The Event Director Position at VX has 4 key expectations:
1. Represent and lead event 2. Manage and lead team members and magazine partners 3. Manage administrative and production aspects of event 4. Effectively sell both buyers and suppliers for event. Representing and leading the event means that you’ll help manage expectations and set sales goals for the event as well as ensure the longevity of the event. You will lead your team by example and help provide motivation. Representing the event also means acting as a liaison between the executive team and your event team in order to ensure two-way communication. Managing the team members and magazine partners means not just setting sales goals for everyone, but also holding everyone accountable for these goals. You will help define the buyer and supplier focus for the event and set goals and deadlines for everyone. You will also act as a liaison between VX and the magazine to maintain a good working relationship. Managing administrative and production aspects means adhering to specified timelines, managing the budget for the event, tracking paperwork, and maintaining event forecasts. While there may be a production person on your team, it is still your job to ensure all details are being addressed. Selling the event requires securing contracts and participation agreements from suppliers and buyers for the event. Sales time will be spent primarily on the phone, but you will also be required to attend industry conferences and trade shows as necessary, as well as build a relationship with the magazine’s sales staff in order to travel with them for face-to-face meetings with clients. | | Event Manager Position | The primary responsibility of the Event Manager is sales. The Event Manager must be able to master the buyer side of the event. This means effectively selling buyers for the event, seeing industry trends before they are stated by someone else, and identifying target companies that are outside of the defined magazine partner universe. In addition to mastering the buyer side of the event, 25% of your time will be spent helping to recruit the supplier side. In conjunction with this sales role is a management role. The management aspect of the job requires that you help manage the Client Development Manager on the team as well as build a strong relationship with the magazine partner. You must also help the Event Director manage all paperwork for the buyers, which means tracking all agreements, registration materials, and follow-up items. The Event Manager is a person who isn’t easily frustrated. You must be able to mentally prioritize without getting discouraged when changes are thrown at you. It is important to possess the ability to “work smarter” – getting more work accomplished with less time. Minimum Requirements - College graduate

| | Client Development Manager Position | The primary responsibility of the Client Development Manager (CDM) is phone sales for the buyer side of the event. You must have a need to succeed and a certain fearlessness for selling the buyers. There is no room for ego, but there must be a drive to grow quickly within the company. As the buyer recruiter, you will be expected to make at least 40 calls a day. In addition to these calls, you will be expected to research leads provided to us by our magazine partner as well as dig for different companies outside of the magazine subscriber list. You will work to build relationship with buy-side clients in order to better understand the needs of the buyer and what they’ll be representing at the event. The CDM position is training ground to become an Event Manager, so you will strive to learn what it takes to manage all the buyers and manage the relationship with the magazine editors. Overall, you must display a hunger to learn and a strong work ethic. Minimum Requirements - College graduate
